Meesapullumala also known as Meesapulimala is located in east escarpment of Munnar hills . It is the second highest peak in South of Himalayas (2640MSL).
Official trekking programme is conducted by Kerala Forest Development Corporation. It involves afternoon transfer to base camp , tent camping and trekking to peak on second day.
The terrain of the hills are undulated rolling grasshills , interspersed with shola forest . The escarpment of the hill formed ridges overlooking Korangini valley.
Usual package offers overnight camping in double sharing tent with sleeping bags and necessary camping gears. It is better to carry inner or sheets for personal use.
Two cottages with double sharing room is also available for accommodation. Though it is nicely placed services of the staff is very bad. Don't take extra accommodation in this rooms. They may not give sufficent gears for extra person.
