Chinnar Wildlife sanctuary is located 50kms north east of Munnar. The tourism zone of the sanctuary is in rainshadow of Anamudi.Undulated terrain and open savannah type of forest is the highlight of its landscape. It is a biodiversity hub and prehistoric settlement, with good number of natural and cultural heritages. The sanctuary offers treks and camps.
Pampadumchola National park is located 40kms East of Munnar. It is a protected Chola forest (Southern Montane Forest) with many endemic species of flora and fauna like Nilgiri Marten, Nilgiri langur, Kerala laughing thrush, Nilgiri wood pigeon, Anamali salea, blue tailed skink etc. The national park offers nature trails and overnight camping in loghouse.
Anamalai Tiger Reserve or IGNPAS is the largest protected area in South India. It shares its flora and fauna with Chinnar, Eravikulam, Parambikulam and Sholayar forests of Kerala. Its head quarters are in Topslip, which is easily accessible from Munnar and Chinnar. We offer trekking, camping, birding hike etc in Urulandi range and kariyanchola at Topslip.
Chimmony Wildlife sanctuary is located in Thrisur district, 70kms from Cochin. The sanctuary has west coast evergreen forest with good biodiversity. The sanctuary offers trekking and overnight camping. We offer all inclusive guided packages to Chimmony from Munnar and Cochin. best season to visit the sanctuary is from October to March.
